LEED AP: BD+C
Kirklin’s interests in code and regulations began with his role in the site assessment for accessibility improvements at the four California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation (CDCR) projects managed by FCA in which he coordinated with consultants, documented site conditions, assisted in producing construction documents, and held key roles in meetings. The Functional Relocation Masterplan for the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) utilized his skills in database management and spatial visualization for programming updates. His knowledge of the LEED certification process and credit requirements has positively impacted projects such as the New Main Kitchen Facility at Napa State Hospital and the CDCR California Correctional Center, ensuring facility designs and construction practices align with industry guidelines and standards. Kirklin currently serves on FCA’s Code & Construction Administration Committee.
