Principal, Project Manager
As a principal at FCA with over 20 years of professional experience, Nuno has been instrumental in the management of a wide range of healthcare, institutional, and master-planning projects which continue to have a lasting impact on communities at both local and international scales. With a focus on uniting qualities of proportion, materiality, and geometric clarity, Nuno views every project of every size as an exploration to incorporate unique design solutions to improve spatial relationships and experiences. With experience managing project teams of more than 20 people, Nuno attributes his managing strategy to his practiced emphasis on building client engagement from the start of a project.
Nuno understands that creative approaches are not compromised by pragmatic solutions. His philosophy on problem-solving is reflected in his award-winning projects, which include the San Francisco’s de Young Museum in Golden Gate Park and the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center, both of which have transformed both the arts & culture and healthcare communities of San Francisco. He has been featured in publications such as Architecture Week, has been a key speaker at numerous collegiate events, and is currently co-chair of the FCA Design Committee.
