The Pediatric Intensive Care Expansion at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital added 20 patient beds and associated support spaces. Innovative suite planning addressed complex code and exiting requirements, maximized patient capacity within the available footprint, and maintained efficient circulation between care areas. Playful design elements and vibrant color palettes create a welcoming, comforting environment that supports healing for children and their families. The project was one of the first Pediatric ICUs in California to incorporate ceiling-mounted medical equipment booms.
