Intern Architect sought by Fong & Chan Architects, Inc. in San Francisco, CA:

•      Under supervision of senior licensed architect, assist in project programming, planning, design, and preparation of construction documents according to functional and spatial requirements;

•      Engage in discussions with the Project Manager to determine functional or spatial requirements of structures; 

•      Prepare presentations that include design, specifications, materials, color, and information for clients; 

•      Work with team of architects to develop architecture and interior design projects of healthcare, laboratory, office, residential, commercial, and mixed use projects from concept design, to design development, to construction documentation; 

•      Produce and finalize the construction drawings and specifications of material; develop project specifications and cost estimates; 

•      Research building codes to ensure the projects compliance;

•      Prepare materials for presentation of projects to clients; 

•      Produce CAD scale drawings and developing conceptual drawings; develop CAD drawings through sketch and concept; 

•      Use 3D computer software to create or fix 3D architectural model, 3D interior model, and 3D renderings, with the design direction and intent reviewed by the project team.

Education Requirement: Master’s Degree in Architecture.
