Highly respected for her expertise in project delivery, quality control, and document coordination, Chiu Lin Tse-Chan founded Fong & Chan Architects with colleague David Fong in 1982.
Throughout her career, she developed a meticulous quality control methodology that consistently supported the highest level of coordination and quality in project documentation, while maintaining a strong focus on delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
These rigorous standards continue to guide FCA's work today, shaping our approach to quality, coordination and project delivery.
Chiu Lin was deeply committed to the education and mentorship of emerging architects.
She believed that experienced architects have a responsibility to support the next generation of the profession and contributed to this mission through lectures, internships, and scholarship programs. In 2001, Chiu Lin was honored as a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (FAIA) and in 2023 she was recognized by the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum and the Society of Architectural Historians in Washington, D.C. for her career achievements an Asian American architect.
