Whether managing emergency room upgrades, operating room renovations, or outpatient imaging centers, Paolo has seen the project complexities of what this sector demands of the architecture industry, knowing that expertise of programming, planning, and design for healthcare facilities is crucial so the brightest minds can deliver the greatest care. He understands that evidence-based design improves the patient experience, contributing to a more equitable, accessible level of care.

Paolo has managed more than a dozen projects in healthcare, with clients including the City and County of San Francisco and the Washington Hospital Healthcare System (WHHS). The hospital features diagnostic and treatment facilities, an emergency trauma center, and support & administration areas. Paolo’s work includes several WHHS projects, calling for the addition of exam and treatment spaces, new pre-op holding area, and the remodeling and expansion of existing operating rooms. His projects have been featured in publications such as the San Francisco Chronicle, Examiner, and Business Times. Paolo is currently co-chair of the FCA Code & Construction Administration Committee.
